Ok. So I am from Chicago, we have the most Authentic Mexican food here. We stopped in here today with family we were visiting. All I have to say is THIS PLACE IS AMAZING! The food was hands down Authentic Mexican food. I had a chili relleno. It was the best I've ever had.The chips and salsa they put on the table was so so good. The salsa was a lil spicy just how we like it!!!! The waiter/owner is super nice. I told him how amazing his food was. Please do yourself a favor and stop in and eat here. You will not be disappointed. Believe me. I'm feom Chicago and this will be my go to when in Indiana!!!!!!!! AMAZING!! I wish I could give it 10 stars!!

Ordered a seafood burrito. The shrimp was so over cooked that when I when to cut it, my fork wouldn’t even cut through it and some of my shrimp was so rubbery, it bounced off the plate and flew across the restaurant. It was pretty embarrassing.

Good food and service, don't bother with Hacienda if you are looking for real Mexican food. Mexican tacos, nachos, and enchiladas verdes are among the favorites.Everything we have tried has been great...hot salsa on request!

Super Friendly Staff, Food Was Delicious

The food is ok, but we were treated very rudely by the staff. They were very inattentive, left us standing to wait to be seated for five minutes, and they weren’t very busy. We were finally seated and waited another 10 minutes to get a menu. Another lady came to the table and said had we waited to be seated rather than seating ourselves, we would have had menus. I told her we were seated by someone after a long wait, and she didn’t even apologize. I definitely will not be back.

We have been to this quite hole-in-the-wall Mexican Restaurant many times and have always been impressed with the authentic food. The people who work here are a little stand offish but super nice. The last time we ordered to go, my nachos had shredded cheese instead of nacho cheese and my boyfriend's had a combination of both cheeses, I guess they ran out. Other than that, we have always been happy with our meals and dinning experience.

I love this place. The food is excellent! The drinks are cheap and strong which I enjoy, haha. The service is always so friendly and the atmosphere is cozy and relaxed. This is my go to place in Elkhart, I highly recommend it.

Great food, fast great service, and great prices! We had two orders of the enchiladas and two drinks then decided to order a torta to go all for $34!

Food was ok. But after getting home and checking receipt we realized we were charged extra on two meals. One was supposed to be 4.99 and we were charged 6.99. Other one 8.25 but we were charged 10.99. Never going back.

As usual, La Esparanza provided a wonderful experience and excellent food. The fajita trio serves up steak, shrimp, and chicken with the onions and peppers on a sizzling hot cast iron with plates of refried beans, seasoned rice, lettuce,guac, and sour cream and your choice of corn or flour tortillas. For dessert I had the flan and my friend had the fried ice cream, both of which tasted just as amazing as the presentation.

It was a nice little Mexican place that we went to for lunch. The food was good. We did think it was a little higher priced than the normal mexican lunch resturant we eat at. The service was good.

Their steak tacos are the best I've had.

We were a group of about 15 and they did such a good job.

Had the Fajita Trio, chicken, steak, and shrimp. It was really good, really love this place. Topped the meal off with fried ice cream. Wonderful. Thank you!

Food mediocre, prices way too high. Best part about this place was the servers are nice.

Ordered the Carne Asada. The meat was tough. Not tender at all. I tried to enjoy it and make the best of it, but the strong odor of old wet rag coming from my plate made it impossible. I think they let their wet dishes air dry which causes them to smell like old wet rags. Smell was disgusting. Impossible to enjoy the food that is served on it.

My Husband and I both really enjoyed our meal here! After traveling all day it was nice to sit down and enjoy a meal in this very cute restaurant. I love the way it is decorated! The prices aren't bad and the staff is very nice and helpful! I believe it was also the owner we spoke with and she was such a nice lady and seems to genuinely care about people!

I had the steak fajitas and they were pretty good! Pretty cool atmosphere inside, and the staff is friendly as well

One of my favorite place to eat!Knowing and understanding with the COVID-19 deal, but today was the worse.There wasn't hardly anyone inside eating, so the service was really slow, the order wasn't right, food was warm, and to get ready to pay, they messed up and didn't know what to do. Had to call to see what to do, so waiting a long time again. I might try to eat there one more time, but if i have this experience again and it will be my last time there. Before was great and friendly, but now is terrible.

Love the ambiance and art work. The 3D painted wall is very creative. The food was good. They allow customization to cater to vegetarian and vegan food. Their rice and beans are vegan. Been here twice now and have loved it both times. Will come back again.

Good quality food for a good price. The parking can be an issue if people don't stick to the space provided. I usually get breakfast at lunch, very good.
